Here we gooooooo

So. Obviously a cross-continental love story means at some point somebody is making a big move. For the Boatengs (better known as #thebootengs) it means Rae making the move to Ghana right now while we wait for our star-studded globetrotter status to be approved—and funded—by the powers that be🤣

With immigrant services and embassies completely shut down in Ghana and a for sure backlog to an already tricky process (because...global racism), there’s no telling when Kwame can even come to visit. Our fervent prayer is, soon🙏🏾🤞🏿so he can hug momma, get grilled by my siblings, fattened by the aunties’ cooking, fawned over by friends, and meet each of you.

So for now, barring any largely unforeseen circumstances, Rae will be outta W(hite)ashington late April/early March!

This blog will be solely devoted to updates on the journey and also a way for Rae to channel the anxieties associated with big change. It will be equal parts love, laughs, and enlightenment 💜😂🤩 so stay tuned!
